Hi, I’m Reuben. I’ve been teaching music to students of all ages and backgrounds for over a decade using a personal, positive, and holistic approach to cultivate musicianship in our communities.
I’m an AZ, CA, WA State Certified Educator with my BMUS in Music Composition from the Cornish College of the Arts, and have extensive teaching experience in public classroom and private settings, both online and in-person.
My instrumental specialties are Piano and Drums/Percussion/Steel Drums, but I have professional proficiency across a wide range of instruments, and instruct musicians of all disciplines and experience levels.
Students can expect a relaxed, positive, and personal lesson experience, centered on guiding students in cultivating their own personal Practice of Music and becoming self-realized Musicians.
Sheet music literacy and performance skills are taught as a by-product of broader musical concepts, but not made priorities in curricular goals.
